In the world of creativity and content creation, we often feel the pressure to constantly generate new material. Fresh, innovative ideas undoubtedly capture attention, but what if I told you that repurposing existing content could be just as effective, if not more so? Sometimes, all it takes is a new perspective to make old content feel brand new.
We assume that our audience sees everything we put out there, but in reality, only a small fraction about 2% to 10% of our followers actually do. And for those who do see it, they often forget or are delighted to be reminded of your work again! A Personal Experience on Repurposing At a recent leadership summit in Toronto, I encountered a situation that perfectly illustrated this point. We were given cards and asked to write 4 fascinating things about ourselves so that others could guess who we were. I hesitated. All my fascinating stories were in my book "Free Spirit", and I didn't want to repeat myself. When I expressed my dilemma to a colleague, she asked, "How many people here do you think have read your book?" "Probably just one," I admitted. She then suggested, "Why not mention something you have in common with someone else?" I followed her advice, and no one guessed it was me. I was thrilled with the result. This experience reminded me that repurposing our stories and content isn't just about repeating ourselves—it's about presenting them in new and engaging ways. Three Easy Ways to Repurpose Your Content
The Bottom Line Repurposing your content doesn't have to be complicated. By putting a new spin on your existing material, you remind your audience that you are there and ready to help with what they need. Creativity isn't always about creating something new from scratch; it's about seeing the potential in what you already have and making it shine in a different light. So, the next time you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed by the need to produce new content, remember these tips. Repurpose, reframe, and rediscover the value in your existing work. You'll be amazed at how effectively you can engage your audience with a little ingenuity and a fresh perspective. If you need help reach out anytime!

Brené Brown mentions, “Clear is kind" and the phrase stuck with me because often times as entrepreneurs we wear so many hats and can offer a variety of services. It’s easy to get lost in trying to explain everything we can do, but for our clients or customers, it can feel overwhelming. They don’t need to know it all—they just need a clear entry point into the incredible work you do.
It can get tricky because there usually is a handful of ways people can engage with our talents. Each client’s journey might look different because their needs are different. For example, in my work, some clients aren’t ready for video yet because their message isn’t fully fleshed out. So I need to start by honing that clarity, while others are crystal clear and just need guidance on sharing their message. Then, there are those who are ready to dive straight into creating videos that showcase their mission and purpose with confidence! So, how do we communicate this without overwhelming people? It starts with clarity. For instance, instead of saying, “I’m in video production” (a habit I’m actively breaking), I now say: “I help entrepreneurs on a mission to authentically share who they are through video, marketing and live events.” This shift reflects not just what I do, but why I do it. My core belief, rooted in my love for spiritual and personal development, is that everyone deserves to feel confident and free to express their authentic selves. The world thrives on flavour and diversity, and I want to help people share their unique spark in a way that feels good to them. Clarity isn’t about fitting into a box—it’s about being so true to who you are that the right people can’t help but be drawn to you. When your message is clear, it filters out those who aren’t aligned with you, saving you time and energy. You don’t need to morph yourself to fit others’ expectations. The ones who are meant to hear your message will hear it just by you being clear! So, here’s some questions to answer: * If you were to list everything you do, what’s the why behind it all? * What’s the common thread that runs through your work? * How can you distill your message into something clear, joyful, and energizing to share? It’s not about listing every detail of how you do what you do—the how can change. What matters is the what and the why. When you’ve nailed this, you’ll be speaking directly to those who resonate with your message. And if you need help refining it, check out my book or my Ignite Your Light course—it’s designed to help you find and confidently share your authentic message. The world needs your brilliance. The clearer you are, the kinder you’re being—to yourself and to those who need you most. What’s your clear and kind message? Share it below—I’d love to hear it! 🌟 |
